Having
read about this birds arrival to Woodley, in Stockport,
a visit today, 28/01/2006, gave me excellent views. It was the first
time I'd got to see this winter visitor from Russia/ Scandinavia.
These handsome birds tend to move across western Europe in search
of berries, when weather conditions become very severe in their
normal feeding grounds. |
