Red Squirrel - Sciurus vulgaris leucourus

These very active and colourful characters were photographed in Formby, Merseyside. Each one I came across had a little personality of its own. Some were very bold and courageous in their approach, others very timid and cautious.
 
 

 

The light was beautiful today; yet a real challenge to use in the middle of the Pine woods in Formby.

I waited around 4 hours for this for this little character to perform. Soon after the Fox arrived.
